Dr. John is caring, passionate, and highly skilled. As a colleague, I have always admired and appreciated what he does and how he does it.
I went to see Dr. John after visiting an orthopedic for the pain in my hip. I brought a copy of my xrays. Dr. John reviewed and explained why I was having the pain and was able to give me relief from pain during my first visit!!
I never thought of going to a chiropractor until I asked John at the gym once about a stiff wrist I had after lifting heavy. He looked at it, snapped it and like magic back to normal. I went to visit his practice years later after i got a stiff/ locked neck and a tight ankle from training for a marathon. 20 min later and poof again like magic I am turning my head and walk freely on my ankle. Things that bothered me for months were resolved in mere minutes. I will not hesitate again!
I began seeing John nearly a year ago at the recommendation of my CrossFit Coach. I was in the midst of my beach volleyball summer season, and my body was literally falling apart. Over-training during the pre-season left me with some extremely painful injuries and weaknesses that were not healing. Getting through a workout, training session, or tournament required mass amounts of painkillers, braces, and ice. I was in pain all the time, and I could barely lift my right hitting shoulder over my head (kind of important for a competitive volleyball player). My back and knees ached and gave out constantly, and after training sessions or CrossFit WODS, I could barely sleep at night. Everyone just told me that I should take a couple of months off and stop training. Any serious athlete in the height of his or her competitive season would know that this was not an option. John understood this athletic mindset right away and agreed to work with me to help my body heal itself and eventually become stronger. John took the time to listen and truly understand what I was feeling, my current limitations, and my athletic goals. He explained every technique he used to adjustment me with, and taught me about nerve interference, and the importance of clearing the nerve pathways so that my body could heal and perform at its best. With his chiropractic adjustments and guidance, I was able to get through the remainder of that painful season. Once the season was over, he worked with me to create a healing plan of attack for the off season. John is incredibly knowledgeable; he is constantly utilizing and drawing upon a plethora of new techniques and modern approaches in the chiropractic field. He helped me understand my body and what it needed to perform optimally with every visit during the off season. This summer, I am now able to train and compete harder than ever before. I have increased my vertical jump, set personal records in all of my Olympic lifts, and most importantly, I can swing and hit a volleyball all day long with a smile on my face. I no longer need mass quantities of painkillers, patches, and braces. Now that I am healthy, I continue to see John weekly so that I stay that way! I cannot recommend John and chiropractic enough. Chiropractic is an important key for the maximization and maintenance of health, for the prevention and recovery from injury, and for improving performance of any serious competitive athlete. I am so lucky to have a found a doctor who understands this and sees his patients as individuals. Because of John, I look forward to continued success on the beach for many seasons to come.
